So anywhoo, as some may know. I recently moved from Washington state to Tejas. I made some stops along the way.

The sight seeing portion started approximately at Fort Clatsop and ended at the Hoover Dam (Where I decided to basically drive through.) I did also stop in Reno and Las Vegas. Vegas I regret not taking pictures of, although I still think it’s overrated. Reno I regret going to at all. There’s nothing sadder than the inside of a Reno Casino on a weekday.

Also all the pics were taken with my phone, which although not a great camera to start with, some of the pics I didn’t realize were complete shit till I put them on my computer. I uploaded them anyway so deal with it :)

Kinja'd!!!

Also note. This is the abridged photo album. Through my own ignorance, I assume, it’s a pain in the ass to take the photos from my phone to my computer. So these photos are kind of hand picked, minus the ones I’ve already posted.

Now without further adou!

Fort Clatsop: Where Lewis and Clark spent the winter of 1805-06 (IIRC)

Kinja'd!!!

I was really surprised how small it was TBH

Kinja'd!!!

I ran outta ‘dem pixels

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

They only had 4 bunks a room, because most of the privates married the local Indians. So they could live of post and collect BAH.

One side of Lewis and Clark’s quarters.

The Iron Doggo of Fort Clatsop!

Crescent City, CA

Redwood Tree. Unfortunately no banana was available for scale :(

Kinja'd!!!

Wee bit out of order. This was somewhere in East Central CA

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

North Western CA. Can’t remember the name of the Highway, but it was a very enjoyable and scenic drive!

Entering Death Valley

Kinja'd!!!

Yep, drove through death Valley with a malfunctioning cooling system and without running the A/C. Sure, the malfunction was the thermostat was stuck open (letting coolant go through the radiator) and it was Dec, so 60 degreeish. DETAILS DON’T MATTER!

Kinja'd!!!

Death Valley National Park was also a exciting and scenic drive. I’d definitely recommend it in the winter for driving, backpacking, overlanding etc.

Kinja'd!!!

This is what Kuwait is like. When you take it out of the oven and serve it with shrubs and mountains!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Just out the other side of Death Valley National Park

Kinja'd!!!

Lake Mead, where the Hoover dam is.

I made the trip from the south to California to Washington and back. I’m sure we’ve seen many of the same sights!

Yep! I’m considering putting a catch can on it. Just because it’s old and burns oil, but I’m not going to mod it :)

I was really surprised how nice the whole state. You always the of the coast and bay area, but the rest of the state is great as well.
